Raiders release Geno Smith. Second year in a row he's been dropped as soon as Klint Kubiak arrives..

Well you know what that means...time for a Raiders SB prop, if they sign Zach Wilson to be their Darnold.

Besides getting sat the last two games to tank, Crosby wasn’t enamoured with Alex Guerrero being planted in the building by his pal Brady.

Same chap who basically got Tom pushed out of New England. My gursss is he has a lot of dirt on Tom, so…

Big get for the Ravens.

Pretty much the same as the McDuffie trade, slight overpay by the Ravens but nothing too egregious.

Sad to see Max go but the drama was getting a bit much. When he threatened the team with a trade request if they didn't hire AP full time (how did that work out?), that was when you had to wonder about his future and the whole drama about shutting him down when he needed knee surgery it just felt like with a new coach coming in that they had to settle things down. Ravens get the best player in the deal and now the Raiders have to make the picks count. I expect he should help the Ravens a lot as the guy has a motor unlike any player I have ever seen.

The NFL is that league where moving a guy a year early for picks can tend to pay off. But Crosby is a hell of a player. Ravens should be win now with LaMar still in his prime and Crosby will add a pass rusher to their defence that they really have not had the past couple of seasons.

The Rams and star cornerback Trent McDuffie reached agreement Sunday on a record four-year, $124 million extension that includes $100 million guaranteed, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The new contract makes the 25-year-old McDuffie the highest-paid cornerback in NFL history.

Why not let Tua try to get himself killed for another season and then just take the way cleaner out from that contract next offseason.

No issues with Seahawks losing Mafe, Bryant and Walker given how much money they got paid, but I am very surprised that the team wasn't immediately prepared to pivot to another back, either Travis Etienne at the premium level or Gainwell / Algeier at the more budget-conscious level. With Charbonnet injured and Kenny McIntosh having never done anything in the NFL and also coming off an injury, the only guy there is Holani. He's fine as a secondary back but I don't love that.

Losing Mafe also requires replacement but I don't think that'll be too much of an issue to find someone equally serviceable. Bryant's replacement was already ready to succeed him (Okada).

Presumably Woolen will be gone too, which is why I thought they should franchise him and at worst trade him later on for something.

As CB spots fill up, don't rule out Woolen coming back.

Cause when you have one noodle armed left handed QB, you might as well add another.

I don't, just has been crazy money being thrown around and if he costs 20+ I'm not sure I want him back... for 16 sure.

17x3 for Shaheed. Given the contracts getting handed out today that's actually probably a slight discount. Hell of a lot better than that Mike Evans deal, that's for sure, JFC that's a bad signing.
