Can’t say enough good things about Conroy over these last few weeks. What’s more is he did right by the players and his reputation around the league as a GM that takes care of his players has only improved his future ability to sign free agents. He threaded the needle perfectly.

8. If we moved Coleman for a nice haul it's an easy 10.

Good work Conroy!

1. Epic fail

We have ZERO 7th round picks in 2026, 2027 or 2028. How are we able to draft our next franchise goalie???

Couldn’t agree more and this is underrated. We got substantial returns without resorting to NYR style “We will just waive and destroy you if you don’t go where we want you to” tactics. It’s not everything, but it can’t hurt in few years when we are trying to attract FA’s.

The Rebiggle is now known as the Rejiggle.

Biggest fear is the Flames squandering Wolf's best years like they did with Iggy and Kipper.

10/10 would do again.

Colorado has a zillion 7ths. We can always trade them a 6th on draft day. They would use all those 7ths to draft their own franchise goalies, but they only have one net.

Crisis averted!

Bummed about Weegs- had no idea he was gonna be moved - really liked the guy and he seemed to wanna be here and see things through - but thats the bizz I guess. wish him the best.
Moving Kadri - well done! Happy for Kadri - hope he gets another cup.
Keeping Coleman - So glad he didnt get moved (especially since Weeger and Anderson are gone, and Kadri for that matter)- this team needs his leadership and compete level
Lomberg staying is also a plus - he loves it here - and the intangibles and energy he brings is worth more than any pick they would get for him. Hope he signs a team friendly deal in the summer.
Strome - this caught me by surprise (less so once Kadri trade was confirmed) - and after watching his interview, he seems pretty pumped for the opportunity - I think he is another guy who will provide great character and leadership on and off the ice.
Very happy with the TD moves - now time for the other guys to step up!

Why are you so worried about our second best goalie ?

Conroy is still mopping up the Treliving mess, but made significant progress today.

I know exactly where you're coming from! It's all because of the Tkachuk trade. Everyone was ecstatic, playoffs were a foregone conclusion with an 87P Kadri, 115P Huberdeau, and a D of Hanifin, Andersson, Tanev, Weegar, Zadorov and Kylington. 3 top centers to stop McDavid in Lindholm, Kadri, and Backlund. Plus we had top goaltending, and the best coach in the league, so here we are now.

Exactly for me too, the trade alone was a 10, but if he was able to flip a Pachal/ Hanley for a pick and open a spot for Hunter Bru. Then 10 on the day. All in all amazing returns on all of Kadri, Weeger and Andersson, the Scotia Bank Corral will see many playoff wins

Would have been a ten if he moved Beecher, Kerins, Morton and Kirkland out. BS to anyone that says I’m biased.

Kirkland is gone after this year, and it wouldn't surprise me to see one of Beecher/Kerins/Morton not get qualified.

Castagna is a guy with similar attributes to Carter. Should be interesting to see them compete against one another next season. Hopefully neither guy gets stapled to the 4th line.

I'm a true believer now. I just assumed he was to "gosh golly gee" of a negotiator especially after the first Vegas deal etc. But its just been getting better and better.

I am one of the most negative fans regarding the team on here, and even I am happy with the deadline. I feel like I don't understand if you are on team rebuild and are unhappy after this week.

We traded our best defenseman and our best center. We got plenty of picks. We are now positioned well to finish 2nd last. They 100% have picked a direction now. What more could you want?

I would also ask which team in recent history has sold off more assets over a few year span for picks and prospects than we have? Kadri, Andersson, Weegar, Lindholm, Markstrom, Hanifin, Tanev were all traded. We got plenty of picks in the upcoming drafts and recent draft history has been solid for us.

This is exactly what a lot of us have wanted to have happen for a while. How could you possibly not like what has transpired over the last 48 hours. If we draft well and get some lottery luck the next few years, we have a chance to become an elite team years down the road.

The asset management of the players leaving and the new arrivals which hopefully could turn into our next batch of future assets is brilliant. This group of prospects is going to give many seasons of not just quality NHL hockey but AHL as well. Good times to be a Hockey fan in Calgary.

Backlund, Huberdeau, and Coleman are the only regulars from the 2022-23 season left. Coronato and Wolf both played one game that season too.

Conroy has rebuilt this team quickly... now, it's time for a rebuild.
