This is silly. He's easily worth his contract this year and likely will next year. So maybe he falls off the last year. Who cares, why on earth would you give him away for that risk

It shouldn't be a surprise that it's harder to trade older players (mid 30s) with term left on the contract. Also, given the way the standings are this year, particularly in the East, there are probably few teams willing to push all the chips in. I think it's miscalculation to assume that players with term are worth more than rentals this time of year. If Kadri and Coleman were UFAs after this season, they'd easily be traded already.
