Would have loved to have held a little bit on the Weegar trade just to see if you could have gotten Buffalo to panic after missing out here.

We'll never know if there was a possibility that Weegar would waive for Buffalo.

Yah, it's a fair point. I also wonder though, we need to realize that Buffalo likely had to sweeten the pot to even make it worth asking Parayko to waive. If Conroy has a good feel on his players and Weegar, and knows Buffalo would likely be a no go on the waive, like what happened here, it might just not be worth sweating.

Oof...this also has to feel a little bad for Buffalo. Despite a great season, the cloud and reputation of that team has not left them yet. I wonder how much sustained success it would take to change people's minds.
Feels kinda like how things did in Florida before they started going on their cup runs.

It is at least possible that Buffalo looked into Weegar earlier as well, with Weegar declining to waive.
