I had a similar experience with Diablo IV. I used to love these types of games when I played on desktops in the late 90s, early 2000s, but I think my attention span has changed. I don't have the patience and get incredibly bored. I only made it ~10 hours into Diablo 4 before bailing.
And yet I played Diablo 3 not that long ago and recall liking it, so I dunno..
I played through Diablo 4 and rarely finish games these days
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a pretty fun game. Plays and looks like Gears of War. Good action and the graphics are amazing.
Funny, I just returned to this for the Tech Marine update after playing at launch. Played a good amount of hours but uninstalled again after a week or so. A really satisfying gameplay loop that makes you feel powerful and also not powerful at the same time.
This game really rewards you for learning the mechanics inside-out.
really liking it so far. The idea of playing one protagonist in 1st person and the other one in 3rd person is neat and works really well.
My daughter and I have played all the RE games together except the original as they never did a proper re-make of it and the version that is available is clunky as it was back in the day.
We are living how this game is a throw back to the early games!

Well you’ll be happy to know rumour is capcom is remaking RE1. And Code Veronica. RE0 too. Might be 5 years but seems like it’s gonna happen.
I find the PS4 remaster to be pretty good. But a full remake will be awesome.

Just finished Resi 9. Man, that was a lot of fun! I saw a review that called it "a remastered greatest hits album", and thought that was a perfect description. Felt like RE2 combined with RE4 and RE7. Didn't mind it one bit though, even though the nostalgia bits aren't nuanced, but hit you with a sledgehammer. It has some pacing issues (some of which are pobably unavoidable when you're having two distinctively different protagonists) and some plotholes, but who cares. It's Resi, and I love it to bits for what it is.
I'm so happy this series has had such a revival and so much success over the last decade. Now give me my Code:Veronica remake, pretty please!
