I think most Canucks fans have realized when Tyler Myers is placed in a bottom pairing and penalty killing role, he thrives. When he plays in the Top four, playing in all situations and is heavily relied on he tends to make a lot of mistakes by trying to do too much.

I think that's part of it. I think Tocchets ability to strip the creativity out of a team also really helped Myers. He knew where his outlet passes were supposed to go because every player had to follow the x's and o's, except Hughs and Miller.

I don't know if anyone wants Kane. Even at 50% retained he's 2.55 million that could be spent on a player who isn't constantly a minus, or taking dumb penalties at inopportune times. I think they'll find a taker for Bueger, but I'm guessing a 3rd would be selling high. Garland is a weird one, so I don't want to speculate, but if Debrusk still wants to stay in western Canada there's only one team that would want him at the deadline. And they already blew their load on a 3rd pairing D and a 3rd line center.

I guess we'll see how much interest there is in E. Kane over the next couple days. I can't see a landing spot for him on a team that takes themselves seriously. But GMs can get a little crazy at this time of the year.

Lots of people.

Kane’s rumoured destinations originally included the Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars. TSN’s Chris Johnston also reported last week that the Carolina Hurricanes and Tampa Bay Lightning have shown interest as well. Dhaliwal has also linked Kane to the Los Angeles Kings.
