What about if once you get past 5000 posts a unique title is given? Or is that too much work? Maybe past 7500 posts?

The unique title idea sounds good. But you'll have to make one up to 50,000 posts or so. Cowperson is going to reach it one day!

Hey I have another question, not sure if the vBulletin forum will allow it...
Could it be possible to give skill markers for the general public... ie/ everyone over 500 posts or something can then vote on each post/poster. For example, i see some funny stuff in the off topic forum so i want to give a red bar for hilarity, but it isn't really skill per se... plus, sometimes I see people make some really good posts and no red bar, and vice versa with the blue bars.
I think the qualifications for betting skill bars should be lowered on both types, so they will be given out more.

You joined in March of last year. So basically you've been around for one full season and you already have 3000 posts. So by this time next year, you will be past the 5000 post mark, and no more milestones.
As it stands now, there are 18 people with more than 10K posts, and at least 40 more who are over 5000 posts. Add 20 more who are between 4K and 5K, and you can see how by this time next year we will have almost 100 people who all have the same title.
Just trying to find a way to keep it fun for the people who contribute so much to this forum. I do appreciate your suggestion, though.

OK. I see what you're getting at.
It would make sense to create more title levels for those posters over 5000. Maybe create them at 2000 posts incriments after the 5000 post level - example....7000...9000...11000...13000..etc. You get the picture

See original thread about expiry of negative skill....
Didn't find the answer to my question. Maybe someone could answer it here as I was locked out of my other thread.
Thanks to whoever can answer my question.

The software doesn't support any kind of expiry of negative skill. If we were to do something like that it would be a custom modification, and we have to be careful with those as they can limit our ability to update the software.

I'm wondering if skill givers can see other skill? I've gotten multiple skill points for 1 post at times, and its frustrating when they are negative. Especially if the post was mis-read or mis-understood.
If there is a way for skill givers to see if skill has already been given, perhaps they should not be able to double the skill?

No, they can't see when other skill givers have given a post skill, and agan there's no real way to stop it with the forum software.

Life is its own skill points.. if you win, you get to play again the next day. Do really well and it can get easier to play. Do poorly and it can get more difficult.

Just noticed recently I've gone into the blue zone but I don't see a comment as to why. I'd like to know what I did or said for learning purposes.
Thanks.

I can see the comment in the mod section; does it just show up blank when you click on "User CP"?
From what I can see you should have two comments on there.

I've averaged about five posts per day since December 2004, roughly the last three years.
At that pace, it's going to be about another 14 years before I'd hit 50,000.
If you can stand the suspense . . . .

It's odd. I see the positive rating comment but not the negative one. Wondering if it's a global issue or just one of those things?
