It’s difficult to make multiple simultaneous deals. If Kadri, Coleman, Weegar, etc are truly in play here this week it’s not surprising to see it start happening prior to Friday. Conroy can physically only have so many conversations in a short period of time. Let’s hope it’s busy couple of days for Flames news.

With it just being brought to him this afternoon, it shouldn’t surprise people it’s taking time. This isn’t just hockey, it’s uprooting his family somewhere else. It’s not like he made the decision, something was brought to him. I’m sure he would be fine with playing for a better team in the standings, but moving to a different country is not something that you sign off on in 20 minutes or an hour. It’s a family decision and he isn’t a rental, it would be long term.

I'm guessing it would have cost us Weegar + Reschny + Vegas 1st to get Iggy. But it may be a moot point if he doesn't want the pressure of playing where his dad is a legend.

That’s why it doesn’t really make sense for the Flames to leak it. They don’t have to trade Weegar or make him wave for Utah, that isn’t the only spot. If they wanted to leak it to put pressure on him, why not leak the other pieces to see if anyone else jumps in? The only team with any reason to leak this deal and only Weegar’s involvement in it is Utah, they’re not going to leak their players and show their hand.
