Please of please why can’t someone else carry Nokian besides Kal tire. Seeing the price difference of the tires here versus Quebec or south is such a roadblock. I get they have the rights but still frustrating to have $100 to $150 minimum markup per tire.

That video is a touch on the amusingly dramatic side, but I really like the concept, and will be keeping a close eye on that, for sure.

Couldn't we order them from a Quebec shop and ship them here?

According to the Nokian website there are a few other Calgary dealers selling them:

A quick search on Megatire shows them available for my vehicle for ~$1000 for 4.

Weird, Megatire doesn't seem to carry either size Hakkas we have.

FWIW, Kaltire is $10/tire more than Mega for your Impreza and charge slightly more for install; all said and done, about $90 more out the door.

I've never had a problem with Kaltire and have always found their service excellent... Their (seemingly) no-questions-asked prorated warranty has literally saved us thousands of dollars, so I guess they've earned my loyalty, even if it comes at a slight premium.

Boo! Although it's just $1,300 for a set of 255/55R20 Nokian Remedy WRG5s. They seem to be limited in their sizing for the Hakka R5s.

Could also be because winter is almost over. Might be worth checking in September.

Oh yeah I need to get a set of all season tires ordered for summer. Pilot Sport AS 4s or Continental DSW06+. I got my winters from Costco so if I get the Pilot Sports I can get those from Costco too and then get inexpensive tire swaps.

My vote is for the Conti DWS-06 Plus. I was a Michelin Pilot Sport A/S+ loyalist throughout the generations until I finally got tired of the ever-increasing 'Pilot Sport' tax. In the rear fitment for the Vantage (285/35R19), BlackCircles shows the DWS-06 Plus for $405 a corner, and the Michelin PS A/S4 is $523 (albeit with a limited time offer for 15% off at check-out).

$118 more per tire is insane, as the DWS-06 Plus is a class leader testing out to be neck and neck with -- if not occasionally better than -- the PS A/S4.
