Not this winter, at least not compared to most years. It's been surprisingly mild and sunny for extended periods of time.

Unless they move the equator farther north or adjust the suns path somehow, changing the clocks is easier.

The director of golf operations at Two Eagles Golf Course and Academy has never seen his golf course open for the season in February.
That’s about to change.
Two Eagles on the Westside, which is typically the first course in the Central Okanagan to open for the season, will do so Saturday, Feb. 28.

This has been three of the last four years. Last year was the only "normal" winter. We've had extended clear, cold, sunny periods a lot recently.

I'll vote for whatever party vows to remove these stupid time changes.

Honestly most adults and half the kids are inside at work/school before sunrise in December. 8:30 / 9:30 who cares I dutifully report to my corporate dungeon at 7:30

Boo BC. FFS, a one hour change twice a year is not a big deal. Keep things the way they are please, I have zero interest in standardizing with a single time - there's too many drawbacks.

I like that they just ignored the eastern parts of the province in mountain time. "Uh, ya, so...good luck with the two hour time jump in the winter."

Keep moving it forward. Until Monday becomes Friday and then leave it there.

At least with an 8:30 sunrise, civil twilight is before 8:00. That helps students, commuters, and everyone's natural rhythm.
I don't think that we realize yet how dark and unnatural it will be with a 9:30 sunrise, and how much that will impact people.
But to paraphrase the article I posted earlier: "People disliked changing their clocks, but disliked the dark winter mornings even more."

Assuming "we" refers to Albertans, the answer is nope.

Summer will be one hour different (as it currently is), but winter we will be on the same time.
