This is where the Flames should be using cap space in my opinion. I know it’s Edmonton, but assets are assets.

Now in Edmonton he's been sulking because he expected to play with McDavid. I would hope someone tells him hey your continued NHL career is not a sure thing.
He's a player who's game really depends on hustle. If he's not hustling to pucks, he isn't doing much for any team.

He likely had just about the best possible scenario in Calgary, in terms of ice time and opportunities.

He's had career earnings of about $30 million, which is probably a lot more than someone of his skill typically gets. Sounds like it's time for him to check his ego and either begin hustling or call it a day.

If you can take advantage of a desperate oilers front office, do it. (meaning leveraging a 1st from them)

Funny enough the Flames have pieces that would fit the oilers budget and needs, as much as they'd hate to deal with us from a position of weakness.

I would do it because it wouldn't actually help the Oilers much

So how many more players are going to sign with the Oilers and then Pokemon face when they are on the bench most of the game? Stop ####ing signing there, they play the same handful of guys most of the game and in every important situation.

Even the bottom of the Flames d-men ranks would be an upgrade on someone over there.

Would absolutely do that. Pachal isnt going to be the difference between the Oilers winning a cup or not.

Can't see the Oilers doing that however

ABSOLUTELY AND UNQUESTIONABLY: NO!!! Never do ANYTHING that helps that tire-fire of an organization.(I don't think Conny would do that anyway...)

No way, I would hope that Conroy would 100% make that trade.

If a player like Pachal is the difference between them winning and not, they'd have won by now.

I would do it and then send Mangiapane to the Wranglers. I wouldn't want him on the NHL roster taking ice-time from young players that need NHL experience to develop further.

A Mangiapane buyout is almost no benefit this year, but next season it's very beneficial. So it's not the same as the Monahan price to take on the contract..

Oh darn, no suckers out there to do your bidding and bail you out after you made another bad signing.

The local pundits were so sure that it would be as easy as pie.

I'm a little surprised Fabbri was claimed, especially by Minnesota

Hey, you don't know me, but you don't like me
Say you care less how I feel
But how many of you that sit and judged me
Ever walked the streets of Bakersfield?
