If I ever need something local I just PM surferguy and he'll make it for me.
And...lets get it out of the way...he has an uncanny proficiency for ass-less chaps, despite the fact that I'm told that all chaps are ass-less and furthermore...I've never asked for them. It just comes up in conversation startlingly frequently for no apparent reason.

Poor surfer-guy. Taking strays out of nowhere. He doesn't deserve that...

I should have known not to challenge PaperBagger on their knowledge of all things assless.

Does anyone know of a place that can recover cat trees? We have a perfectly good one, but the scratching rope on the pillars is done and coming off. It also has a basket that needs its fabric replaced due to many cat naps stretching it out. Don't really want to spend $190 on a new tree.

If it's just the rope you can buy some and wrap it yourself pretty easily.
https://www.amazon.ca/Gardening-Scra...R?sr=8-25&th=1
The baskets are also on Amazon.

The only thing I could recommend if you don't want to do it, is I saw the guy who I assume makes them locally in Pisces bringing some new ones in, maybe you could get his number from them.

I put an air stapler on my Christmas list this year, so grabbed carpet from end of the roll and re-did mine. I expanded some of the platforms and rearranged it. The air stapler kind of demands a project like this, or it won't be satisfied. Paaa-SHT!

You can buy new twine at Home Depot and glue + staple it back on. The twine is called sisal rope.

Might make more sense to DIY than find someone to try and repair for you. There's tons of things that cost more to repair than do from scratch. Others have already mentioned DIY methods and types of materials to look for.

Alternatively, he can go to Costco, get one of those big boxes they give you at checkout. Cats seem to love them.
