I had a friend who when talking about his parents would always say "Mom" or "Dad", not "My Mom" or "My Dad".
They're not my parents, don't call them "Mom" or "Dad", f'ing creep.

Pretending to be annoyed about the stupidest most minor non issues is the whole fun in this thread, come on now.
How could anyone have taken Sliver's post seriously, it was obviously just so silly

Same here. I have friends who did the same. I think it's pretty common.

Nah I’m with Sliver. Nana and Papa are lame.
Baba and Gido? Cool. Nonna and nonno? Even better. The more ethnic the better.

I had a friend who had a 'mee-maw' and 'pee-paw' and I definitely respected him less because of it.

My friend had a gammy and a pa-pa.
As a grown man he had a lot of tummy aches, until one day I said listen dude, you're an adult now. You don't say tummy.
