Way more IMO. Kadri @ $3.5M is an absolute steal for Colorado. He is already at least a $7M player in today's cap. 2 1sts and Gulyayev would have to be in the deal. IMO if we retain 50%, the Avs probably can't afford him.

If they were scouting the Flames, most likely scouting someone less known as part of a package to make the salaries work. It's rarely 1 for 1 (+picks) when the cap is in play.

On the newest 32 Thoughts, Friedman said he recently did a hit on TNT and expressed doubt about Kadri to Colorado. Someone (unnamed) texted him and said, “I’ll bet you he ends up there.” I thought this was worth mentioning because of Friedman’s connections to GMs and other managers, like the one who told him about the buyers’ market for last episode.
Also, he confirms Colorado is looking for a centre, Kadri wants to be traded and go to a contender, Kadri wants to do right by the Flames. He says it’s going to be a challenge to move Kadri, but Kadri has been his own best advertisement by his play and leadership.
