Not surprised to hear BUF and CGY have been in discussions. The Sabres needs are A) a middle-six forward with grit, scoring, and playoff experience, and B) a 3rd pairing D (prefereable RD) with a strong defensive game and playoff experience.
Coleman + Whitecloud would be a one-stop shopping trip for Kekalainen. Lots of barriers to a deal getting reached, but hockey-wise it's a perfect fit

Whitecloud and CGY are pretty happy to keep the show going.
I think Weegar has a better chance to move.
That said I’d bet on both being around unless the offers come up on either of those.
Lots of Brad specials being thrown around.

Have to ask. Is it what would be considered a good offer, where price has been met? Or just an offer?
If price has been met, as niemo says, take it and focus on the remaining pieces. Taking two pieces down to the wire may preempt other moves that may be available (don’t want to hear that they ran out of time).
