I’m reading “Night People” by Mark Ronson (DJ, producer and songwriter). The book describes his rise in 90s NY DJ culture. Hip Hop and sampling was his passion. His step-dad was Mick from Foreigner. He has won Oscars, Golden Globes and Grammys.
Here is his curated playlist with 100 songs mentioned in the book:
I've always felt that this song was a small confessional for Murray. It seems that he hit a low point before writing this record and need to explain himself.

Faith no more was such an underrated band. I could never figure out why they weren't lumped in with the grunge sound. Layne Staley in particular owes his sound to Mike Patton.

I've been doing some nostalgic listening from when I first started going to shows. Anyone remember Calgary punk band Knucklehead from the early 2000s-ish? Voice Among Us and Little Boots still hold up as great albums.

Yup, they were great. They split and reformed as Territories if you want to check out newer stuff. It's all on Bandcamp.
