Hmm...how big is the Enterprise D?
Because I'd consider getting it and then having it set up in my office fighting my LEGO Millennium Falcon, but the Falcon is pretty damned big.

Then you could have the Pokemon attack both for nine bills

Ehh...Pokemon isn't really my bag. And by that I mean...I know nothing of nor have ever watched Pokemon. I am aware of it's existence and that is essentially the extent of my GAF for Pokemon.
Now...if someone made me some giant fire-breathing Ducks to attack...that would be cool!

The Lego dealer at Crossroads Market is finally gone - truly the end of an era.
I'm going to have to find a new source of suspiciously cheap Lego, the origin of which I would rather not know.

It's massive and looks solid. But yeah $900 is crazy. Maybe $550 would be fair? $150 for each Pokemon and then $100 for the base? Even that seems a bit crazy. My guess is the Pokemon licensing is crazy expensive, or maybe even Pokemon demanded revenue sharing.

After a few cycles of buying my wife Lego Botanicals sets for birthdays, Mother’s Day, and Christmas, she finally got the hint and got me Soundwave and the Lego Icons Retro Radio for Christmas. I had a blast building these large sets during the Xmas break and that carried through January to me pulling out my childhood bin and rebuilding some 80s and 90s sets. The nostalgia was fine, but I really wanted the high of 1,500 piece sets.
Large Lego sets just weren’t a thing my parents were going to buy me as a kid. I grew up, got a good job, worked hard, and now realize I STILL can’t afford Lego.
Now the mods can let me know if the following discussion is offside but it was done for research purposes. I fell down a deep, dark rabbit hole of alts, 1:1s and Mocs and decided to shoot my shot on a grey Return to the Future Time Machine Car, Red Transforming War Robot Leader, a Yellow Transforming War Robot Buggy and a Milky Way Galaxy art brick set for the wife all for a quarter of the price you would buy these from the Danes.
Brick clutch was a bit tighter than I am used to, had one small missing techinics piece that I easily replaced from my bin. Wife’s set unfortunately was missing a bag of bricks but is being sent.
All in all, a successful research project. I have a Space Battle two legged… ah hell… AT-ST coming this week.

Not too bad looking.
Does Yellow Transforming War Robot Buggy only have half a head, or is that just the angle?
Also, I'm amused that the Time Machine Car is fueled by "Plitonium" and not plutonium.

lol. Didn’t notice that. Yeah just a weird angle on ‘Bumelbee’. The printing on the face piece is actual really good.
Edit: That picture makes the Transformers look like crap. I will post a pic when I put up my shelf. Ordered the 007 DB5 and Tie Interceptor as well.

My 3 year old recently entered his Lego era. He is doing the 6+ sets with about 250-300 pieces and doing really well with them.
I've never been a Lego guy, but now an tempted to enter this world myself. I can see from this thread the vortex I'm about to enter.

Any Lego-heads catch any rumours on what the super car will be for this summer or full? The McLaren came out in 2024 so we're due for the next one later this year.

Castle setup looks awesome! Where are you sourcing your pieces from? I have a Black Falcon Castle from the 80's I am trying to rebuild and am missing some pieces.
@Meelapo - I did see a rumour about Lotus Emira. https://www.brickfanatics.com/lotus-...8-speculation/
My research project has continued.
AT-ST - Was a fun build. Brick clutch was firm but never loose. Minifig is good and even has arm printing. No spelling errors on the plaque but it's shrunk down.
Tie Interceptor - Thing is massive. 1 missing wedge plate for the wing and brick clutch was loose on some of the smaller pieces and had to Kragle a few things. The printing on the top hatch isnt straight so I had to add a 1X1 round stud to turn it straight and the bottom wing hinges arent strong enough to hold at the same angle as the top so had to add some 1x2 plates to hold.
James Bond's DB5 - Very cool set that was retired in 2021. You can pull the gear shifter to pop down machine guns, turn the tail pipe to pop up the bullet proof screen, pull the bumper to open the roof and eject the passenger seat. Has the rotating license plates too.
Wife built the retired Wall-e.
Next up is the Endurance and the Space Shuttle Discovery but I am running out of shelf space.
Also ordered the Japanese Wave painting and Succulents from Lego for my wife because I have to keep her onside. lol.

Stop while you can. jk its great for creativity and manual dexterity skills.
My 6 year old is now doing basically any lego or technic on his own. Disney Castle, Avengers tower, the big R2D2 etc. It can be expensive fast!
