Persians/Iranians are a very proud and nationalistic people - even prior to the Ayotollah. They view themselves as the preeminent power in the middle east.
These are not people who will accept subjugation to the US in any capacity. Even worse for Israel.
I would love to go to a peaceful and secular Iran. It's a beautiful country. But to think an even democratic Iran is a friendly nation to US/Israeli interests is nuts.

All the garbage for the past year
Doing something strange once or twice a week, every week
All the Epstein smoke
Why isn’t anyone doing anything?

So does the US get banned from the Olympics for violating the Olympic peace?

There is a history of peace between Jews and Irainians that can be built on. Pre-Islamic Revolution Iran was actually one of Israel's biggest global supporters and the son of the Shah who wants to lead Iran now has stated he wants a return to normal relations. Even in recent years, it wasn't unheard of for dissident Iranian organizations to show up at pro-Israel rallies.
It's probably one of the more complicated aspects of the middle east dynamic. A big part of the it is the long adversarial relationships between Shia and Sunnis and the Persian/Arab rivalry that existed even prior to Islam. They viewed Israel as a counter balance to Arab domination and colonialism. You can go back to ancient times and Cyrus the Great is still considered an exalted figure and hero in Judaism.
Of course modern Iranians are not going to accept any kind of occupation from anyone though. I think occupying Iran would be virtually impossible.
Just to add, I don't know if a democratic Iran even survives. Iran is an ethnically diverse country with a history of secession movements, and a spectrum of religiosity and secularism region to region. For example, a region in Northern Iran tried to leave at one point to join the Soviet Union. I have heard it being compared to the Middle East's version of Yugoslavia where the thing holding it together is dictatorship. As Yugoslavia was a country built on pan-Slavism rather than the individual ethnic histories, Iran is built on pan-Iranian beliefs that aren't necessarily congruent with history.

No, because as Carney noted, the international rules-based order that we love to preach is only applicable to those that are not in our alliance and certainly never to us when we happen to violate it. We'll go along with what's happening at varying levels of support from official statements to the other end with military personnel and weapons.

It doesn't really matter, hypocrisy has no meaning to Trump. Winning in the now is the only thing that matters in his head.

Kinda wild this is an actual picture the White House chose to release. Not sure I've ever seen him look worse.

That geriatric doctor who went viral analyzing trump's symptoms did give him 3 months a couple of weeks ago.

Looks like he will be on the wrong side of the grass pretty soon.
That would be the right side of the grass as far as I'm concerned.

Just think of how bad he'd look without the make up and spray tan.

If (big if) Trump actually manages to enact a regime change in Iran, he'd basically be a shoe-in for 3rd term.
Honestly. It would singlehandedly negate any all bad things about him.

No, not really. First of all regime change doesn’t necessarily mean Iran gets better, Rmemeber getting rid of sadam in Iraq? How’d that turn out?
What about the regime change in Venezuela? Are they better off right now? He’s playing king maker and the US has an incredibly poor track record of doing this effectively.

Not to say "Hey guys, look at my last post!", but he's looking like being alive for three more weeks is a 50/50 proposition. And God forbid he makes it to 2028, his brain is gonna be a kind of mush we've rarely seen.
