It seems like Calgary and southern Alberta definitely holds it's own when it comes to movies or TV shows/series that are recognized with award nominations or win them. A lot of great actors have worked here, including Duvall.
I think Duvall took issue with Canadian talent though. He did seem to apologize about it a few years later, citing Hayden Christensen as being good.
His ALS progressed super quickly. He just made his diagnosis public last April. Brutal disease.

Really good actor and way to young to be gone like that. He was great in Grey's Academy. Really good in the Last Ship, I might need to do a rewatch of that series soon.

Nick Reiner entered a plea of not guilty during his third appearance in Los Angeles Superior Court for his scheduled arraignment in the killing of his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner.
One of my all time favourite authors. Best sci-fi author of all time in my opinion, and his other stuff is great too. I reread Illium and Olympus last year and they’re still great.
Very sad.
