The Sharks really need to invest in their Defense. It's going to be a problem. And I think they have only 1 dman signed next year?

It must drive them nuts that they didn't get Schaefer last year. Imagine adding him to that team? Whoo boy.

It's amusing that the rumor is their target is Schneider of all players, because... he won't fix anything for them.

Whoever evaluates pro-level defenders in that organization should probably be let go.

I definitely get that sense from him as you could tell he wasn't happy with the game.

I think it's safe to say that SJ will likely use their 1st rounders on some defenders in this draft, especially one of the better ones with their own.

Agreed. That wasn't a great option last year because there was such a gap between the top dman and the 2nd (Mrtka).

But that still won't solve things fast enough. They are moving towards opening their contention window. I don't know they'll get a guy that can help them in the next 1-2 years in this draft. So I suspect they'll be active on the trade and free agency front to address. I wouldn't be surprised if Eklund emerges as a trade chip to get a D in the off-season.

I've wondered if maybe Eklund for Pelech made some sense.

The Sharks aren't very good...they kinda stayed in the race because the Pacific sucks so bad this year

They are the new Oilers, generational forward, ####ty defence and a mediocre goalie.

100% agree. Can't believe Wolf and Zary are still on the roster. Get those guys out of town so the team can never win again.
