Default RIP Ian "Scotty" Morrison

I assume most people won't remember who he is. Was an NHL ref, than chief ref for 17 years.

I986 he started to be involved with the Hockey Hall of Fame, and became CEO in 1991, and oversaw the move to the current building.

He retired in 1998 and was inducted into the HOF in 1999.

”Scotty was known as an enthusiastic and articulate ambassador who touched the lives of hockey fans and professionals all over the world,” Mike Gartner, chair of the board of the Hockey Hall of Fame, said in a statement. “Among his many contributions as an on-ice official and hockey executive, he is widely credited for providing the creativity and vision for the Hall while building a dedicated team to develop and operate a state-of-the-art museum and place of entertainment for the game of hockey.”

I attended several referee schools he was at. From my humble level he was a God to me. The other professional officials at the camps respected him highly. RIP Mr. Morrison

Rest easy Mr. Morrison. Such a well known person when he was involved with the game.
