Myers is just a weird player. Makes some boneheaded mistakes, takes some stupid penalties, but does have a good stick, plays physical, and he's a good skater with a good first pass so he can break the puck out which all adds up to a guy who you would THINK would be defence first given his size, but is actually more of a contributor to transition (and therefore offence). Much of his defensive value is either on the PK or in denying entries due his reach.
Probably worth like... a 4th, maybe gets to a 3rd due to multiple teams being interested. Nothing crazy.

Isn't he not very physical, mobile, or even that great defensively.
He's a guy that has been better in the playoffs at times in the past but he's not really a guy I'd move a ton for.
Will be interesting to see how much he goes for though, because if he returns even a 2nd round pick then I think it will show just how valuable Whitecloud could be.

They've been critical (justifiably so) on the Canucks organization and given they are just podcasters now, thought that was the reason.

Well, technically it was some of the stuff they were being critical of the team for, but it was things Sekeres had made up. During the COVID bubble and coming out of it, Sekeres had a string of absolute ####ing brain dead things he was reporting as fact. The Canucks came out and debunked them and then revoked their pass, directly citing his making #### up as the reason.
I think one of the final nails in the coffin was the report that Quinn Hughes was actually critical and on a ventilator.
