Final 26 games predictions
The season is about to resume, and the Flames are about to enter the final 26 game stretch of the season, so I would love to hear your predictions: - Who will lead the Flames in goals scored? Coronato, 8
- Who will lead the Flames in points? Zary, 17
- Who will lead the Rookies in points? Parekh, 14
- Who will score the prettiest goal? Gridin
- How many different players dress for the Flames in that time? 29
- How many starts does Wolf get? 14
- How many points will the Flames get in that stretch? 21
- How many picks will the Flames add due to trades? 5
- How many roster players do the Flames trade? 4
- How many PP goals will the Flames score? 14
- How many SH goals will the Flames score? 3
- Which Wranglers will play 5 or more games for the Flames? Brzustewicz, Kirkland, Kerins
* I didn't count Gridin, Parekh, or Kuzntesov, since they're all with the team now.
- Will any Flame finish the season with 50 point? No
Once the season is over, I will update it, and see how everyone did. Also let me know if I should add anything.

Would be a failure not getting a top 3 pick. Preferably top 2.
That’s all that matter this season

My prediction is the Flames play 26 more games this season. I could be wrong.

A lot of that depends on the lottery

Barring a complete fire sale, this team will play well down the stretch.
I would not be surprised to see a record of 14-10-2. The key is the East Coast road trip in early March.

Youthful enthusiasm, defensive commitment, and good goaltending are going to win some games.
I expect a .500 record.
The only way I see the wheels falling off is if Huska opens up the system or we trade one of Whitecloud/Weegar.

All the Flames can do is finish bottom 3, or whatever.
The rest is up to the lottery Gods.

Finishing last guarantees you a top 3 pick regardless of the lottery gods

One of Gridin or Parekh takes advantage of a bigger role/opportunity and plays unreal down the stretch, giving fans something to be genuinely excited about

20 pts in 24 games, finishing with 72 pts, 28th OA (and one pt ahead of STL for maximum pain)
VCR
NYR
STL
CGY
(but I hope they get 18 pts or less, to get into the top 3)

To not take advantage of this and do everything in your teams power to land a top 5 pick would be a shame. They are likely shipping more bodies out to try and do so now (too little to late), but this is still the Flames and I sense something like a semi respectable 8-12-4 finish which likely keeps them well out of the top 5 in the draft.
