The McDavid debate gets exhausting. He was Canada’s best and most noticeable player all tournament but he was never able to come through in the big moments. I don’t fault him as it’s a team game and this is more of a media problem as they have pushed this guy in the face of Canadians for years telling us he’s the greatest Canadian player. Lots of younger hockey fans in this country actually think he’s better than Gretzky, Lemieux, Crosby because they have been told over and over by the propaganda machine that he’s that good. The reality is that he’s accomplished some great individual achievements but for all the hype and statistics, he’s never been able to win anything.

Why is it perfect? Humans suck at their jobs and are inconsistant. Machines have a set peramiter to operate in. Rules are not deveated from clear precise and executed to the rule .

I got no beef with Ai . My whole house operates on Phillips Hue. I have everything laid out in my phone scheduling wise by Google.

I'm sad about the loss, but weirdly, I mostly just feel terrible for MacKinnon & Toews. Those missed opportunities are going to haunt them forever.

The tribute to Johnny after the game was heart warming. I had said to my wife prior to the game that the worst thing about losing would be that it's to them - but after seeing the Gaudreau jersey & his family being a part of the celebration - I'm happy for them.

With a bit of reflection, I think McDavid saw that it was J. Hughes back and thought he could exploit that. Which is fair. I think the issue was he outskated his teammates so he had no other options. But it still took a really good play by Hughes to knock the puck away.

The Athletic has a good breakdown, and it highlights that the goal happened because the 3 of the best players in the world, each mean a critical mistake. And ultimately that's what it comes down to. You had the on the ice because they are your best chances at a win. And they, as a collective, blew it.

Similarly, each of Werenski and J. Hughes made not one, but at least 2 critical plays in that sequence to generate the goal.

To try and given you a genuine answer that helps, the difference is one is a clear impersonation and satire, the other is a deep fake. And the issue is the internet is now being littered with deep fakes, including some that are intentionally created to mislead. We should all be concerned that these AI tools can re-create our likenesses in believable ways, and how that can be used by bad actors. That isn't a celebrity issue, that's an issue we should all be worried about. Of course many of us have probably signed away our biometric rights in various T&Cs that we didn't look at.

Perhaps in this case it is an attempt at humor, but it's being used for a lot of other things that are far less innocent.

And that's not to speak of the energy consumption that was needlessly used to create this slop.

I'm not trying to be argumentative with you. I'm trying to outline the real concerns with the stuff. Of which there are many.

In the game 6’s, 7 of the two finals and this gold medal game he (McDavid) now has a combined 0 goals, 0 assists -5. Unbelievable player but has been absolutely terrible on both sides of the ice in the 4 biggest games of his career.

When the only thing between the puck and net is the goaltender's stick, and you don't score, it is absolutely a missed opportunity. He's going to dwell on that forever.
