Toews and Mackinnon misses were crazy, couldn't believe either.

What I hate about it is that the best team isn't necessarily going to win, it's just one fortunate bounce.

Oh well, is what it is. If the Hockey Gods are just and true, Canada will get that bounce - they deserve this game.
Biggest issue is that Canada successfully stifled Quinn Hughes and this works in his favour.

Really? Because this particular game has been clearly officiated one sided and it wasn't to Canada's benefit.

I still can't believe this is going to be decided 3 on 3.

I actually love this idea. Until the ioc decides we both forfeit and Finland wins gold.

No one of the millions watching around the world gives a crap about the closing ceremonies. Let them play 5 on 5.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bennett doesn't even see the ice. Same with Wilson. Not fast enough and too prone to bad decisions that can put them on the PP.

Honestly fine by me; don't care about the medal at the end of the day, the goal should be to see who wins a best on best hockey game and 3 on 3 can't tell you that.

Hellebuyck is the only reason this game is close

That hasn’t been an issue forever. NHL officials in international competitions have never shown a propensity for bias.

Agreed. No matter who wins I wouldn't say they're the "best team"... Best in a skills competition/shinny. 3 on 3 in this moment is silly. Applies to the women's game as well.

Be a bit of a travesty if if Canada doesn't win this.

Easily the better team, so many missed chances. The U.S. really has no business winning this.

Bennett might but the OT has to go about 15 minutes for it to happen.

4 on 4 is enough, 3 on 3 too extreme.

Yes, but Canada has a few guys that 3 on 3 favours as well.

We need McDavid and Celebrini to get a goal. One goal, guys, that is all we need today.

(and I think they will get it)

3 on 3 is a travesty. At least do 4v4 for first 10 mins. But really should be 5v5 for 10 then 4v4. Then a shootout would actually be better than 3v3

This is what I worry about too. Canada is a lot deeper than the US but at 3 on 3 The Hughes line can shine. Hopefully Canada gets the matchups right.

At that point do you throw him out there cold?

I mean it's a moot point, this is not going to last 10 minutes much less 15. Might not last 2.

Analytics show Canada is also completely dominating this game.
