He absolutely did. What the #### was that cop thinking? Why wasn't he risked immediately when the police showed up? That's 101 . Im guessing he's a pretty young cop by the look of him. I watch alot and I mean maybe too much for my sanity of the Midwest safety youtube channel. The second the cop showed up and got the story why he was called he showed have frisked and handcuffed him. " Your not under arrest but you are being detained while we figure this out ."
Unfortunately, In the last few years of watching an unhealthy amount of body cams officers are having to be much more lieniant on first contact and approach this is becoming unsettling common . Im not saying Rodney King everyone's ass but at least let cops do their thing and get the cuffs on first whether an arrest needs to take place or not. Safer for everyone involved had he killed the cop on the first shot he could have got everyone else associated in that room. Good on the cop for saying I don't want to shoot you and It looks like he was trying to get the girl out safe first or just getting to safety.
That knee didn't save his life 3 failed shots and the security guard knocking the gun away did. That kid is ####ed. Not only that his actions put his I assume girlfriend as an accomplice to felony . In the states that is a really big deal .
He was already a felony at the age of 21.
"Court records show the 21-year-old is charged with attempted murder, felonious assault on a police officer, robbery, drug possession and having a weapon under disability.
Police said Jeffrey is charged with complicity to commit a robbery.
Due to a previous felony conviction, Newman was not allowed to own or have a firearm, court records show.
After Newman’s arrest, officers said they recovered 50 blue pills identified as Molly, according to the records."
