It's a small wonder they don't have Karen Zerby doing their prayer services

Trump: I met the owner. He said, “President, I’d love to kiss you.” This is a very powerful man. I don’t want to be kissed by that man — but he’s a very powerful, strong man.
He said, “Sir, I want to kiss you.” I said, “Why?”
He said, “Sir, I want to kiss you so badly.”
I said, “No, thank you.”

Just 2 b? Should be fine in comparison, right?
After leaving the World Health Org, Trump officials propose more expensive replacement to duplicate it: HHS proposes spending $2 billion a year to re-create systems the U.S. accessed through the WHO at a fraction of the cost.

Trump ignoring a supreme court judgment. Isn't that illegal?
what did the MAGA bootlickers say during the Minneapolis protests?
"Obey the law and you won't get shot"
here's hoping.

Imposing new tariffs isn't ignoring the judgment, because he's doing the new ones under a different law.
Refusing to repay the tariff money is arguably ignoring the judgment, but unfortunately the judgment doesn't contain a mechanism for the repayment so they can just say "they didn't order us to actually do anything".
Moreover, even if every business that paid a tariff since Trump took office got its money back, they're not going to give that money back to the people who bought their products at an increased price due to tariff charges - they're just going to keep it. So even if it happens, all it is is a massive tax cut for businesses.
And the businesses for whom that might be a good thing (i.e. small business) are going to be, in many cases, too small to pay the legal fees it's going to require to get the government to cough up their refunds.
Like, none of this is actually good news, really.

Honestly surprised there haven’t been more attempts, or attempts on Miller, etc. I know Miller had to move and some live in military housing but they still wander around a lot.

Unfortunately as we've learned much of the US system relies on the honor system. To quote President Jackson when the Supreme Court ruled against him, "They've made their ruling, now let's see them enforce it"
This won't change anything

Yeah, all the YouTubers (BTC, Pakman, Meidas, etc.) started their videos with “wow we can breathe easier now”. What??? Did they really think he was going to cave so easily? But I guess it just goes with all the other stuff for the algorithm. Trump fails, Trump crashes, Trump is finished.

My only solace is knowing that decrepit piece of #### is 79 years old and in terrible shape. Swollen cankles, bitch tits and a drooping face. He definitely had a stroke last year and looks like he's literally rotting away, day by day.
Oh, what a glorious day that will be! What a beautiful, glorious day.

They'll likely get sued again over these new tariffs as well. The problem is that it takes the Supreme Court an eternity to make decisions on this bulls***, so we're probably looking at sometime in 2027 before they rule on the next one.
Until then the government will just use other laws to circumvent Congress and re-impose any tariffs they lost due to today's ruling. While it's good to see that the SC isn't completely corrupt yet, sadly this doesn't change much and it'll just continue to be status quo after today in regards to tariffs.

The money from the tariffs probably isn't even sitting where it's supposed to be. It's probably been embezzled away somewhere.

"Soon after Trump’s tariffs were announced last fall Brandon Lutnick – no doubt in a totally, totally arms length way – started buying up the rights to tariff refunds at about 25% of their sticker value."
The family of Commerce Secy Lutnick could now get pay outs of billions or more in tariff refunds.

There's nothing to sue about for the new ones. They are perfectly legal. He can impose a global 15% tariff for 150 days, that's a power granted to the office by congress in 1962 I believe. After that to keep them in place congress is required to approve them. The question will become can he turn around and do another 150 days of tariffs and it kinda seems the answer is yes, there doesn't appear to be anything in section 122 that says if he can or can't. There are like 3 other ways he can impose tariffs using powers ceded to the office by congress but some do require study or review by govt agencies first.
The big takeaway from today IMO is that the mercurial 20% today for you 40% tomorrow for you is done.

This makes me angrier than it should, considering everything else going on out there.
Jesse was a ####ing hero and Mike Johnson is a spineless weasel sycophant. It's disgusting that he has a say over what happens to Jesse Jackson's remains.
