Now do PepsiFree and his references towards me. Or maybe Johnny Makarov. How about you look up the users that are dogging DoctorFever.

Do you honestly think anyone cares or even spends one second thinking about what “value” you place on their opinions? lol. The ego, man. You’re a gag.

Fuzz doesn’t need a protector. He’s got a pile of clay and a bunch of bird memes. I’m just here for the laughs.

Yeah, sometimes threads in this place devolve into a select few dudes cosplaying their own version of the Real Housewives or something, and it's been happening a bit more than I have the appetite to look past.

I say we name and shame them. I'll go first.

They're crashing at a rate that's 4x higher than humans.
That's actually safer than I thought.

Ya, but thew first control-less Cyberca....wait, can't call it that, they forgot to buy the trademark. The first control-less snake oil vessel on wheels has rolled off the line. I guess the stock needed a bump. So they have a not fit for purpose vehicle with not fit for roads software all ready to go. Bold things.

Feed algorithms are widely suspected to influence political attitudes. However, previous evidence from switching off the algorithm on Meta platforms found no political effects1. Here we present results from a 2023 field experiment on Elon Musk’s platform X shedding light on this puzzle. We assigned active US-based users randomly to either an algorithmic or a chronological feed for 7 weeks, measuring political attitudes and online behaviour. Switching from a chronological to an algorithmic feed increased engagement and shifted political opinion towards more conservative positions, particularly regarding policy priorities, perceptions of criminal investigations into Donald Trump and views on the war in Ukraine. In contrast, switching from the algorithmic to the chronological feed had no comparable effects. Neither switching the algorithm on nor switching it off significantly affected affective polarization or self-reported partisanship. To investigate the mechanism, we analysed users’ feed content and behaviour. We found that the algorithm promotes conservative content and demotes posts by traditional media. Exposure to algorithmic content leads users to follow conservative political activist accounts, which they continue to follow even after switching off the algorithm, helping explain the asymmetry in effects. These results suggest that initial exposure to X’s algorithm has persistent effects on users’ current political attitudes and account-following behaviour, even in the absence of a detectable effect on partisanship.

No surprises here, but Xitter is manipulating users.

Fun Fact: If you continue to hang out in a Nazi bar, don't be surprised if you start echoing Nazi views.

A federal judge has rejected Tesla’s bid to overturn a $243 million jury verdict over a fatal 2019 Autopilot crash in Florida, dealing a significant blow to the automaker’s legal strategy as it faces a growing wave of lawsuits tied to its driver-assistance technology.

U.S. District Judge Beth Bloom in Miami ruled that the evidence at trial “more than supported” the verdict and that Tesla raised no new arguments to justify setting it aside. The ruling, made public on Friday, means Tesla’s last hope to avoid paying the massive judgment at the trial court level has been exhausted.

Totally unrelated case:

Quote:
“Whatever your opinion is on Mr. Musk, Twitter or Tesla, can you set it aside in the sense that you will judge the defendant based solely, emphasize solely, on the evidence produced in this trial and the law as I give it to you?” U.S. District Judge Charles R. Breyer asked the prospective jury pool.
...More than a third of the initial jury pool indicated they could not serve impartially and were dismissed by the judge. Others were questioned by the parties about the answers they provided to the court, indicating a strongly held negative opinion of Musk.

Stephen Broome of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, an attorney for Musk, raised concerns with Breyer following jury screening that the court was “desensitized” to how improper it would be to seat jurors who expressed extreme dislike for the defendant. He claimed that if Musk was any other defendant, a juror who said “I hate that guy and he has no moral compass” would be dismissed.

Breyer pushed back, saying that the case was not like any other because Musk is a well-known public figure akin to a United States president, and jurors are allowed to have personal views on public figures.

“He is a public figure, and as a public figure, he will excite views, strong views. The question is whether or not they can set them aside,” said Breyer, a Bill Clinton appointee presiding over the trial.

LOL. The man is so despised it's hard to even assemble an impartial jury to convict him.
