When I first started it was the only way I could do it. Mind you, I had no curve.

What else has Mackinnon done?

Mcdavid goes fast and sets up a great pass, get another fast skilled player on his wing.

Look at Celebrini, Idiots for not taking Bedard.

pull it back in and then quickly flick it out, inward momentum will cause it to ride up the back of the blade

It was an awesome shot, no doubt. But I bet Saros would have stopped it.

Honestly, Horvat has been invisible aside from that goal in the first game. Really wish one of Schiefele or Bédard was there.

At this point you need to be playing Marner with McDavid and Celebrini. Keep Horvat / MacKinnon / Jarvis, that combo is great. Then Suzuki with Stone and whoever.

Before the power play they were giving up a lot of room at the point and there's absolutely no reason you can't score from there, just keep pounding pucks on goal and they'll go in.

It seemed like Binnington was down in the butterfly pretty early, and gave up the top half of the net.

It's not a bad goal, per se, but it's sure a save you would hope a Team Canada starter would make.

Binnington isn't costing them really, but he isn't going to pull them out of the fire either.

Some of you enjoy being miserable more than enjoy watching hockey I think.

Team just kind of looks off now. We can question roster decisions, but they are playing less than the sum of their parts.

Is it? Scoring chances are going to happen when you're up against elite players. At some point your goalie has to stop them.

The competition level is way higher than it's ever been in international tournaments. The idea that Canada's goalie just can't allow any weak ones and they'll win is folly. They need to match the goalie on the other end and Binnington isn't doing that (unsurprisingly).

It would be nice if Makar could show why hes the best defenseman on earth, something clutch would help here.
