That seems like a “I’m getting traded” type of move…
Blake Coleman was interviewed yesterday on Flames Talk, and there was nothing definitive, but I got the distinct impression that Blake Coleman would not be surprised to be traded. That, plus this, plus all the rumors about the level of interest in Coleman make me think that he's going to be traded.
I don't think this necessarily means Blake Coleman is going to Dallas though. Jordan Coleman might wish to be at home and close to her and Blake's parents in Texas, if Blake Coleman is going to be playing road games or playing home games at a place other than Calgary or Texas.

Yeah, Coleman's interview definitely felt like he knew something would be coming soon. Class act all around, but him specifically mentioning how he'd been through this process before, how he loves Conroy because he's so honest with his players about what's going on in the business side and how as a player himself Conroy was talking about how he'd been traded before and all, I think we're seeing a Coleman move by the deadline.
He heavily implies he's having an ongoing dialogue with Conroy about being traded.

He doesn't seem upset at all about the trade talk either. My guess is that at his age he probably wants to go to a place where he is, at the very least, competing.
Good team guy, but we aren’t competing and he’s one of those veterans we have signed longer-term that we just don’t need to hold onto in to his later years. With the addition of Whitecloud, we have a solid veteran guy to stick around and help lead alongside Bahl as the next wave peppers in.
I think this is Bruce beating the same drum he has been beating for awhile now for clicks, I have not heard any indication Weegar wants out.

Don't know what tweet or quote you're looking at but the one you replied to didn't say anything about Weeger "wanting out", simple that be'd be open to a move in that situation. Wanting out is not the same as being open to a move.
With Weegar's age and ability and also his deal - Ottawa should absolutely have to pay a steep price to acquire him. Coleman the timing is right to take the best offer and move him. And Kadri is likely to have some age based decline to he makes sense to move as well though a little less urgent. But Weegar still has many good years ahead of him, I would say it starts with Yakemchuk or Pinto or they can get lost, even Hensler to me wouldn't be enough as the core piece, his performance post draft has been underwhelming. Happy to have him here mentoring the kids through the rebuild.
I'm supportive of trading Coleman, but man losing guys like him and Rasmus kinda sucks. Just great Flames and great personalities.
I wouldn't be unhappy if Kadri gets moved and they keep Coleman until next year. I would prefer that over the inverse which it seems is more likely. Although Dissentowner gave me some hope earlier.
