CBS lawyers blocked Stephen Colbert from airing an interview with Texas State Rep. James Talarico. They feared the repercussions from the FCC for their "equal time" law.

So Colbert put it on YouTube. As usual, Talarico crushes the interview.

Lol, they are such a self-pwn machine. The guy is like the most milk toast person you could encounter. Literally the least controversial thing I've ever seen. And they'll make it the most popular thing on YouTube by trying to block it.

I watched already. 853K views as of 9:00 am.

Streisand effect in full force.

I thought Talarico was very impressive. An active Christian but who wants to put what Jesus actually said into practice.

Very good interview.

Oh I like him a lot. It's just crazy how, of all the things to keep off TV, the most dangerous man on broadcast is.... a state-senator from Texas discussing church and state in the most normal terms possible.

I'd rather Sky Daddy was left out of things.

Unfortunately these are not normal times as this will go down as one of the worst periods in US history.

I was at the Fan Expo in Vancouver this weekend and listened to an American actor named Mike Colter talk for a bit. He is definitely a more articulate and talented speaker than me, so I won't say it as eloquently or passionate as he did, but he talked a little bit about the erosion of freedom in the U.S. and how people get offended by the smallest and most benign things things, and how people are silenced for it. Yet the big things that should offend people and be challenged are just ignored or given a pass.

I feel like this is probably just one example that illustrates that.

It seems pretty quiet from Trump the past couple of days. He must be in for another MRI or cognitive test, or maybe he had another stroke.

To be clear, he is a strong advocate for the separation of church and state. He opposed putting the ten commandments in schools in Texas for example.

As far as I am concerned, he is free to believe whatever he wants, but as he does believe in God at least he

Yeah, anyone who is for the separation of church and state should be a very big fan of James Talarico.

Appalling: During Trump's effort to indict Dems for the video warning against carrying out illegal orders, one of their lawyers asked prosecutors to say what statute was allegedly violated, I'm told. They failed to name one. Then they tried to indict anyway.
Quote:
But last week, federal prosecutors failed to secure an indictment against the lawmakers, who include Senators Mark Kelly and Elissa Slotkin and four House members. Indeed, the grand jury unanimously rejected the indictment—a major embarrassment for Trump and Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. attorney in Washington, D.C., a central player in Trump’s efforts to prosecute his enemies. As NBC News’ Ryan Reilly notes, it’s rare for grand juries not to indict, so the inability to persuade even one juror represents a remarkable implosion.
Quote:
“What is the theory of criminal liability?” is the question that was posed to the prosecutors, one source said, adding that “no answer was forthcoming.”
And so, when the news broke that Pirro had tried—and failed—to secure an indictment, this was particularly shocking to the lawyers, the sources said. That’s because her prosecutors had failed to name any violated statute, yet they forged ahead with the effort to indict anyway. It has not been definitively confirmed what statute they used in that failed effort.

Who could have predicted hiring a bunch of Fox news hosts to run government departments would turn out to be such a farce of lies and failure?

What? Wait Fuzz...you're telling me that the lady who was upset enough about water in her office to rant on Instagram might be too emotionally volatile to be in an official prosecutorial position? Nah...you must be joking.

Shouldn’t we be celebrating the person who started this water program? A forward thinking capitalist! Think of the real winners here, the shareholders
