Default February 18

Massive day coming up with plenty of medal chances!

Women’s Curling starts at 01:05. The usa vs Great Britain, Sweden vs South Korea (I think this one will be on CBC), and China vs Denmark.

At 01:45 the Women’s Team Sprint Freestyle Cross Country Qualification begins. Alison Mackie and Liliane Gagnon are the Canadian team. The Final is at 03:45.

Run 1 in the Women’s Alpine Slalom starts at 02:00 and I think this may be shown in part on CBC. Laurence St-Germain, Ali Nullmeyer, Amelia Smart, and Kiki Alexander are the Canadians. Run 2 should start at 05:30.

The Rescheduled Women’s Aerials Qualifications should start at 02:00. Marion Thenault is the only Canadian and should be the first to go. Final 1 is at 05:00, Final 2 is at 06:00 and I think will be on CBC.

At 02:15 the Qualification in the Men’s Team Sprint Freestyle starts. Antoine Cyr and Xavier McKeever are the Canadian team. The Final should start at 04:15.

The Men’s Snowboard Slopestyle Final should begin at 03:20. Cameron Spalding and Mark McMorris are the Canadians. I think this will be on CBC.

At 04:10 the first Quarterfinal in the Men’s Hockey tournament should begin with Slovakia vs Germany. I think this will be on SNW.

At 06:05 Canada (6-1) faces Italy (4-3) in Men’s Curling.

The Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle Final should begin at 06:30. Juliette Pelchat and Laurie Blouin are the Canadians.

The Women’s 4x6km Biathlon Relay starts at 06:45.

At 08:40 Canada faces Czechia in the Quarterfinals of the Men’s Hockey Tournament. This should be on CBC and on SN1.

At 10:10 Finland splays Switzerland in the Men’s Hockey Quarterfinal. I think this will be on SNW.

At 11:05 Canada (4-3) faces Italy (2-5) in Women’s Curling. I think this will be on CBC.

The Quarterfinals of the Men’s 500m Short Track begin at 12:15. Steven Dubois is in the first race, William Dandjinou and Maxime Laoun are in the third race. The Semifinal should begin at 12:44. The Final should begin at 13:27.

At 13:00 Canada races in the Women’s 3000m Short Track Relay Final.

At 13:10 the usa plays Sweden in a Men’s Hockey Quarterfinal.

Should I be cheering for Swiss or Finn?

I know I'll be cheering for Sweden cause I do not want USA medal.

The gold medal game is going to be 6am mountain on Sunday. That's unfortunate, wish they scheduled it Saturday evening so North America would get it on Saturday afternoon.

I saw this tweet saying the Seth Jarvis friends story is the least compelling storyline of the olympics. You know what, I agree, it's neat but so Canadian media to glom onto one thing and try to run with it. Like those stupid pins in '88.

Ya this is dumb. Paris is the same time zone as Milan - they put the Men's Basketball gold medal game on the Saturday at 9:30pm local time (3:30 EST/1:30 MST).

They have the men's bronze medal game on Saturday at 8:30pm local.

Slovakia playing well with a 1-0 lead. Pospisil having a good game.

Draisaitl going for the gold medal in diving.

4-0. Germany collapsing.

Adam Ruzicka will be a first line centre on an Olympic semifinalist.

And good for Pospisil to be able to experience all this, hoping he comes away with a medal when all is said and done.

Curling; Korea beat Sweden this morning which now makes the game against Korea tomorrow must win. Might have to beat Italy today too depending on other results.

watching Mikaela Shiffrin in slalom is such a blast. GOAT, and it's not close.

Jacobs and crew just played their worst end of the tournament and give up a steal of 2 to go down 3-0.....to Italy.

Every guy missed a shot to varying degrees.

Jacobs scores 2, then steals 1 then steals 4. Pretty good three end stretch.

Italy is missing some shots.

Yeah...Italy missed the easy peel for a blank in 4 and then completely unraveled.

Dont see steals of 4 at this level very often.
