This club starting to look like the Sochi group...which was probably the most dominant team in Olympic history once NHL players were allowed.
On almost every level or occasion, 100% accurate.

Sports is littered with teams that either didn’t understand tiebreakers or accepted that a win was enough. Might it be today? Sure. Sports though is an inexact art and while this result isn’t in doubt, the other result v USA has to still be played for.

I’m writing this as a coach that has had to pummel opponents in Provincials because of a match on another pitch.

What a dumb move by France to change goalies. Unless they are just giving it up and getting their guy some ice I guess.

Imagine just getting in and it’s McDavid on a breakaway

They have some legit chemistry, maybe McDavid walks to Sunny San Jose instead of Toronto

It's either "give this guy some time in the olympics", or the first guy wanted out or tweaked something. Probably the former.

Anyway, don't let up. Binnington... yikes.

Binnington did not look great on that goal.

Binnington having a rough game. Juicy rebound given on the first goal and whiffed on the second. Do we move to Thompson for the quarter finals?

I haven’t noticed pucks being collected after goals. Can they not do that for the player?

Also can I complain about this insistence by Ron Maclean (especially) and the panel about calling everyone and their dad (literally) by their first names?

That shift is what this whole game should have looked like.

There’s the McDavid I know. Big rush up the ice, lazy play when the puck goes the other way.

LOL. Congratulations io finding a post where I mentioned secondary assists before. Gold star young man!

However, if you want to actually hit me with a gotcha, you'll want to try and find one that actually contradicts my other post. This one does not. In that post, I was referencing a poster who was inaccurately trying to claim HB was just wringing up a bunch of secondary assists on an offensive powerhouse. I was arguing that the claim was inaccurate, that he wasn't just getting a bunch of secondary assists.

Keep fighting the good fight though!

Really? He got his stick in the lane and broke up the counter rush?

I’m no Binnington fan, but it’s gotta be hard staying sharp when you see the puck every 15 minutes.
