Default Saddledome Dining and Tour Experience

Please move if there is a more appropriate location for the thread.

Just got an email regarding 2 course meal at saddledome grill and tour of the dome for $65 per person for end of February. Has anyone gone to this before? Trying to get a handle on what the tour actually involves and if you thought it was worth the price.

Tried searching but didn't see anything pop up from the past.

Thanks in advance!

Took a tour over the summer and it was amazing for someone who grew up at the dome. Would recommend it for that alone if you are a long time Flames honk.

Even found a picture of my godmother (who was with us) in the 88 Olympic volunteers photo on the concourse.

Last summer a group of friends and I were wanting to go on the Saddledome tour:

But they don't show the Flames area though, so everyone backed out. Maybe the rest of the area is still worth a visit?

Years ago (when the re-signed Johnny and Monny) they had Saddledome tours in the summer. Not sure if it's the same, but we got to go under the seats and see the various change rooms, but not the Flames area. They took us to ice surface as well as the restaurant.
They bypassed the media area hanging above the ice surface because they had just cleared the area post presser for the signing(s) and they hadn't cleared the equipment and wiring yet. Was a cool tour.

I don’t think there’s a person more knowledgeable about the history of the Saddledome, or more passionate about telling it’s story than Rick Tulsie, who is going to be operating the tour.

You’re going to see and learn a lot about the ‘Dome with that alone.

The food in the Saddleroom Grill is great, and I suggest anyone who wants to treat themselves and an event to give it a try.

Also, this building retires in the next 18 months or so. The opportunities to see it, explore it, have a Pocket Dawg or a Dome Foam… they’re going away soon.

Took the boys on the tour with Rick this summer.
It was fantastic.

No you don't get to go into the Flames dressing room, but you get to go in the visitor dressing room and they do up a stall with a Flames players gear (Kadri was the one we saw)
You do however get to walk out the tunnel the Flames players would and past the bench and onto the "ice surface" which my kids were absolutely stoked about.

Its about a 50 minute tour (without the dinner) and Rick does a fantastic job driving home the pedigree behind the building and how much history it has, he's a wealth of knowledge.

Free if you do just the tour, which comes to an end shortly!

Sounds fun. Any idea when the bookings become available? Right now it doesn't have any available dates.

The email I received was for February 26. Think anyone can book as I'm not a season ticket holder. I think potentially I just opted in to get emails from the Flames or something. Anyway said to make your reservation call +14037773694.

Perhaps this tour might include a bit more access to additional areas? I agree that Rick Tulsie does a great job as I have been on the free summer tour a couple of times, and the areas we accessed were different both times.
