Fabulous late comeback by Vicky to take the 3rd set 6-4
Huge win for her, and now in the semi final!

Vicky gets Ostapenko on Friday who when she's on can beat anybody on tour, but is also susceptible to looking terrible on court. Basically, she's the Shapo of the WTA tour lol.

More good news as Felix advances in Rotterdam just now 6-4 6-4 over Medjedovic who played a very good match. Felix gets Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor on Friday.

Shapo advances to Dallas QF with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Kovacevic. 22 aces and no break points against in two sets ain't too shabby.

Something about Dallas agrees with Shapo, he's playing lights out just like a year ago.

Vicky lost the first six points of the match and was quickly down 2-love and then proceeded to win 6 of the next 7 games taking set 1 6-3

Vicki Mboko takes 1st set 6-3
What I find so compelling about her game is how she attacks 2nd serve. Always inside the baseline. Ostapenko is at about 30% points won on her second serve.

One year ago, I only knew her name because of Dash’s updates. Now I am watching a future slam winner, and sooner rather than later. Prepare for Queen Victoria’s arrival!

Ostapenko has run into a quicker and more athletic version of herself today.

Not sure what prompted the move to Canada as Victoria was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, but that's certainly one US import that is working out well.

It was a really nice embrace at the net between Vikcy and Jelena, I think it shows how much Vicky is liked and respected on the WTA tour. Ostapenko is well known for some fly-by and frosty handshakes lol
Edit: Bastien has it covered...

Felix into the semi-finals in Rotterdam after a 7-6 6-2 win over Tallon Griekspoor. That 2nd set of tennis that FAA delivered was some of the best tennis I have ever seen Felix play, cracking service return winners left and right.

It's hard to believe that Muchova has only one WTA title to date because she's a terrific player. She has had to deal with several injuries throughout her career though.
