Happy 50th to a peak music album. Without a doubt the underrated masterpiece of the album is this absolute monster of a track. Groove at the end is as good as it gets.

I've probably referred to The War on Drugs as your dad's favorite band before, or lame middle-aged dad rock. I was being facetious. I was goofing. I was just joking around, okay?
I've always loved this band. They are the closest thing in rock and roll to symphony level orchestration. There is a swell of all the instruments in this song that absolutely elates me, sends me over the edge of joy into pure bliss.
This is music that deserves good headphones or something better than your computer/phone speakers. Enjoy.
p.s. I want to enjoy anything in my life as much as that drummer enjoys drumming.

Picked up the new reissue box set of the Drive-By Truckers' 2003 album Decoration Day yesterday, and it sounds amazing. Definitely one of their all time best records.

Might be song of the decade so far. I wouldn't joke about this, I'm not kidding this time.
Far be it for me to criticize music (I'm really out of touch with anything that's not metal) and what's good or no good but are you being serious here?
I think it's a pretty awesome song IMO. And I can't say I'm in touch with much metal these days cause most of it sucks and isn't bringing anything new or interesting to the table. So I'm working my way back into some underground & European stuff I missed from the 80s-00s. Like this ####ing sweet track right here (terrifying album cover too).

He's the lead singer of Geese who are getting huge right now. That's not my favourite song of his but he's well respected. It's not your genre so it makes sense if you can't see why it would be liked.
Turnstile continues to impress me. They're really evolving their sound.
What's fun is that due to the venue in this clip, they're playing at about a 2 or 3. Imagine this, but cranked up to 11. This is one of the few bands that I'm dying to see live.
