lol James Duthie really hammering home the "Italy should suck" narrative
I mean, he isn't really wrong, as this game wasn't expected to be close but he has nothing else to say.

The smaller neutral zone might be a bit of an equalizer for the smaller teams TBH.
Easier to trap and clog up the neutral zone with the reduced space. Doesn't allow for as much separation and to generate off the rush.

I get being loyal. But not in this case.

And its not working out great for Backlund Sweden either.

I'm so confused. Isn't 'Karl' a Swedish name (or at least the shortened version of a Swedish name)?

The shortened version of a Swedish name? Yes.
I, however, am not Swedish (not Italian at all either).

I'm kind of glad they didn't just blow the Italians away. Blowout games in Olympic hockey are super boring.

Hopefully that trend continues. I want to say that Canada vs. Switzerland has always been a blowout and thought the same this time around until i saw their roster, the Swiss team looks exceptionally strong this time. I don’t recall them having a roster anywhere as close to as competitive as this roster looks—unless I’ve missed it in the past..
