Feels like top three were automatic after the first program.

That's always been the ice dancing rub with judging

Crap. If only Sweden could've or would've played ball and given the homies and many heutrals what they wanted.

Rot in hell team Sweden hockey team. Rot in hell. Didn't even do one small favour that I or many people would've wanted (a home hockey team victory). Get facked.

A wee bit excessive.. no? I could see saying that against the American team, but why the Swedes?

No. Not excessive.

I just want team Italy to win a hockey game. (I'm not Italian in case you're wondering)

I often love cheering for the home countries to win their hockey games in their country. Simple as that.

Olympic Figure skating judging has been sus since the dinosaur times, how many scandals are they on now?

Notwithstanding the slip up Cizeron made (for which they were properly downgraded), the French program was incredible.

For the entire skate I don't think one could have wedged a slip of paper between them, Cizeron and FB were that much in sync.

Were they "better" than Chock & Bates? Debatable. The score for both nights was basically a tie, but the maths put FB & C first. IMO it came down to the judges tonight preferring a more traditional flowing dance compared to the dramatics of Paint it Black.

As to whether Gilles & Poirier "should" have won. No. Not at all in this competition. Put aside Carol Lane crying and the emotional parts of the Starry Night dance, and it's still a phenomenal program.

To their credit, they have rebuilt Vincent quite a bit from how it originally looked 7 years ago, and even tweaked it from last December. But it has been obvious it cannot overtake the dramatic beats of Chock manipulating her skirt to precision and the fact that entire dance hits the musical cues all the way through.

Same with going against the closeness of FB and C. They are not overtaking that unless someone completely loses an edge or something.

As I say, the judges don't have a button that says "The crowd cried". They are marking a test.

That being said, I assume both top teams skip Worlds this year so Gilles and Poirier should go to Prague and retire as World Champions.

This is a never ending cycle - if one believes there is a scandal, that's all one is going to look for.

There is nothing untoward.

First of all, think. Who benefits? To what end? Is the French mob somehow trying to keep Canada down??? Just stop, people.
