Kanye... well he actually makes music. You can listen to it anywhere. Some of it is kinda poppy, sure, but it's still good music. He's far from my favourite MC but as far as mainstream hiphop goes he really is the best thing out there. "Hey Momma" is one of my favourite tracks of the past couple years, while anytime a 50 cent song comes on I cringe and turn the station.

I get it that some people listen to him for the production, and yeah, it's pretty good. But I've never been the kind of person to listen to a song cause part of it is good.

Some people (like myself) just like variety. I'd love to get drunk and dance with half naked women and I'd also love to sit back, relax and listen to some thought prevoking music (also with half naked women if possible ). It's all a matter of what mood I'm in.

Yeah, i was a litte harsh i guess.

I have a little cousin back home, 16 now I think. He is the typical little gangster wannabe kid and him and all his friends love 50 cent and talking about guns and money and whatnot. It just drives me crazy, and I guess a part of me really hates 50 cent and his contemporaries for dumbing down music.

I've always been the kind of guy who listend to the lyrics in a song. And 50 cent is just not saying... well anything at all really.

I've never been into 50 Cent, and Kanye is OK. I'll get Kanye's new album.

Detox will release the same week as Duke Nukeum (sp?) Forever and the single cut of Kill Bill.

Apparently Busta Rhymes was saying Dre has a huge collection of his best beats hes saving for Detox. At the start of this year, that ablum was suppose to be September 2007. Now its 2008 I think.

I hope that guys goes on tour one last time. I have to see him & Em live. I'm pretty mad at myself I didn't go to the Up In Smoke tour that came to Vancouver a few years back.

The Up in Smoke Tour was bar none, the greatest showcase of live hip-hop ever seen in the history of music. The sound system was set up to emulate a top notch stereo while maintaining the stadium tour aesthetic.

Even though I'm not the biggest fan of his... I've heard Kanye puts on a hell of a live show.

That said, Luda's garbage live. Maybe it was a one time thing, but he was godawful the last time I saw him.
