Default 28 Years Later Trilogy *spoiler discussion*

Don't want to spoil anything in the recommend a movie thread, and since this is an ongoing series, let's have a thread to talk about it.

SPOILERS ahead..

What did you guys think of Cillian Murphy's return?

I was grinning from ear to ear when the original theme came on. And in retrospect, saving it for the original protagonist's entrance makes a lot of sense.

I have to assume they are ignoring 28 weeks later, no? (which is fine)

Wouldn't he and other survivors have been rescued and shipped out during the events of 28 weeks later, similar to the Fully Monty guy?

Bone Temple rules. I really liked 28 Years Later but the final scene with the parkour fighting was so silly it undermined the rest.

This one fixed that while still having a fantastically silly scene later one. Best use of heavy metal in a movie ever? I missed Boyle's editing style, but this was better overall and sets up the next one really well.

It does rule.

The Jimmies were great
Dr. Kelson was great
Number of the beast act was so metal
Samson's arc was interesting

"Sorry, I don't have a ticket" - what a scene

One thing was I don't think Jim was portrayed as much of a historian or scholarly guy in the first film. Are we assuming he just spent time educating himself in the years since Days?

And I assume then they weren't rescued after the first film despite getting the attention of the jet pilot? They'll need to explain that.
