Doesn’t seem like a super fun industry to work in. Seems pretty cut throat.

Didn’t know about Valji.

With Huberdeau on IR for the rest of the year, and potentially both Coleman and Kadri being traded before the TDL, the flames line up will likely be full of young forwards to finish the year.

Gridin-Frost-Klapka
Farabee-Zary-Coronato
Sharangovich-Backlund-Stromgren
Lomberg-Kirkland-Posposil

I’d bet with no drop off in performance.

Oh man, one of the last remaining from the old guard. I read he left on his own terms, to a "healthier" industry than Sports Journalism. Wish him the best.

Good for him for writing the next chapter (a day after the Washington Post gutted their sports department). I will miss him on Flames Talk.

Move Pospisil to 4C and Klapka as the 4th line RW. Give Kerins an extended look in the top 9 to see if he's worth keeping

Zary - Frost - Gridin
Sharangovich - Backlund - Coronato
Stromgren - Kerins - Farabee
Lomberg - Pospisil - Klapka

Kirkland as the regular scratch, unless Lomberg also gets traded

Now that the Flames are firmly in a rebuild, I hope Conroy embraces the same very patient plan coming out of it as the Canadiens' management is taking:

Canadiens' Gorton exploring all possibilities ahead of NHL trade deadline

This is why I continue to doubt that they'll trade for Kadri. They're holding their powder until they're fully in their window. It's incremental, patient improvements but then they'll be dominant for an extended period of time.

Somehow Eric Francis ends up as the last man standing.

I honestly don’t think there will be much drop off. The young players seem to be all getting better and better as the season goes on and as they get more opportunities. Also important to note that the whole team (including call ups) have all bought in to the flames defensive system. Very rare to ever see the team not out in a good effort and it’s rare for wins to be easy against the flames.

Obviously they are not a good team but I don’t think they will see a big drop off in quality after Kadri and Coleman are traded.

Loubo is a scout for the Flames. Not sure if that's his full time gig or if he's doing other things.

Kerr I think is largely focused on amateur and youth sports as a consultant or getting involved in certain projects.

Roger tried his hand at politics with the UCP. He was also writing for the Western Standard a bit. But that was a few years ago. Not sure what he's doing now.

Dan has been focused on his own social media and podcasting.
