We've gotten some amazing finds on Marketplace as buyers. A few solid wood MCM pieces for the condo. But goddamn, people, is it too much to ask that you put the dimensions of the furniture on your listings?

I learned a few things selling about what I need to emphasize in the ads to avoid headaches. Particularly when selling x-country skis, people seem to not be aware of binding styles. I even started asking potential buyers to double-check before they came over so we wouldn’t waste each other’s time.
I am trying to find a decent J1772 charger within 100km from here. The search returns some, but also random ass phone and laptop chargers. I only searched for “J1772”. I didn’t want to confuse it with extra words, but it still got confused.

So many buyers don't read ads.
For the J1772 charger, are you talking level 1 granny charger or a level 2? I'd definitely put "J1772 Level 1/2 charger" in the search depending on what you're going for, it returned a bunch of relevant results for me. It also returned some adapters from NACS to J1772 so it isn't perfect, but you shouldn't be getting random crap outside of that.

I am looking for a decent, but cheaper than new OEM, granny level charger that I can take on the go and not be too worried over if it gets damaged or stolen. Primarily to leave it on an energized block heater plugs at work during the day. The used KIA or VW ones might be good. I am not totally sold on the really cheap Aliexpress / Amazon ones that seem to be flooding Marketplace, but maybe they’re alright.
While not at the top of the results, I got these interspersed with appropriate posts.

Yes.
I bought a fridge off of Kijiji many moons ago. My wife wanted a second fridge because we host a lot of family gatherings, the extra freezer space was great when kids came home from school, etc.
So...I find a fridge on Kijiji, buddy lists it and...lists the dimensions! Okay. No problem. Its a bit of a trek all the way to the NW but off I go. Its just supposed to be a small fridge with a top-freezer. I measured up my car and it'll slide in no problem.
Except the dimensions he posted were complete, utter, 100% bull####. This was not a small secondary fridge, this was a full-size behemoth. It weighed a ton and did not at all fit in my car.
In his defense...he did help me load it up and even provided rope to tie the tailgate down and he was honest on the price. But man alive...I caught hell from my wife when I got home.
"WTF is this ginormous thing??"
Yes. The dimensions he posted online were completely preposterous fiction. I dont know if he measured the thing up or if he just made them up. When I saw the listing and did my own measurements it looked just fine.
But the 'listing' and 'reality' appear to have been two entirely and completely separate things.

Because the price was fine and it took me an hour to get there and another hour back. I got more fridge than I bargained for and if my wife doesnt like it then next time she can buy the goddamned fridge.
I was assigned a task. I accomplished the task. If I give a dog a bone I dont care to know if it tastes good or not.

I think in old age my guts have become as tolerant as Lockes. My wife made Enchiladas on Sunday. I ate too many of them, just minor stomach discomfort yesterday. Had four more leftovers yesterday. I have shat at least 15 times overnight, pure lava, did not sleep a wink , decided to take the morning as a vacation day to make sure it had subsided.
Pretty sure my hooley has labia now.

After selling my 2023 Civic Si I put up some leftover parts like floor mats for sale. I specified they were for the current generation 2021-current models but fielded 3 different messages asking "will these fit in a 201x civic?". I could look it up but maybe these interested buyers could do that themselves?

Don't get me started on fridges. It seems a few years ago fridge manufacturers changed the dimensions (height) of their products. Now I'm in the market for a replacement and none of them will fit in the space I have, they are all too tall by 1/4" in some cases to an inch or so. So now my options are to go with a narrower fridge that will fit, but leave a gap between the cupboards and fridge, or raise my cabinets by a couple of inches.

Buying a used car from a private seller is a chore. It's mind boggling how much some people think their vehicle is worth. Do they not spend a modicum of time to look at comparables on the market?

Know what kills me now? Pepper. I'll grind a half turn of pepper onto my food and it'll feel like I ate a bowl of cayenne. Like wtf.

Phase three of your transition into Locke. Five is a bit of a doozy, what with the helicopter training and all. And I don't envy you for the indoctrination into Trek Talk that is phase eight.
