That's pretty much it for earning his card for next season barring a miracle next week.

Long road back to the tour playing in limited starts.
Yeah, it was a bummer for him, and didn't do much to improve his chances for top 100. Still will need about 225 points which is a T2. He needs about a 7th to get into top 125, which will get him considerably more starts. He should be good now to get into final stage of Q School, which is a reasonable shot for him, and Q School graduate status is going to be far better status next year than previous years.

Hopefully he's found something he can build on.

Fuzzy Zoeller died. I remember him waiving the white towel to Norman from the fairway on the 72nd hole at the US Open after Norman had just made a huge putt.

He put his foot in his mouth very famously with his racist joke in regards to Tiger and pretty much became a pariah after that.

Man, I'd love to play Royal Melbourne.

Nice to see Cam Smith playing well.

Ewart, Silverman and Svensson are all looking good for their tour cards late on the back 9.

176 players for only 5 cards. No ties, so a playoff for a tour card is a possibility.

Ewart and Svennson locked up their cards.

Silverman lost a 2 for 1 playoff on the first hole to a birdie.

To be fair, he did sign up for LIV and not LXXII (I guess they switched to 72 holes, no one noticed).

Huge win for the PGA but will be interesting to see how they handle his reinstatement. I know he was playing very poorly but he is still one of the big 4 (as defined by the Happy Gilmore movie).

Richard T Lee has qualified for the 2026 LIV season. Anthony Kim also qualified.

Good for Cam Smith mostly, cause he's been absolute cheeks since leaving and still gets to come back if he wants.

Quote:
Five-time major champion Brooks Koepka is returning to the PGA Tour as part of a new Returning Member Program, which would also allow three of LIV Golf's other top stars to come back if they want.

In a memo sent to PGA Tour members Monday, a copy of which was obtained by ESPN, the tour said Koepka is expected to make his return in the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California, Jan. 29-Feb. 1. He is also expected to play in the WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale the following week.

"When I was a child, I always dreamed about competing on the PGA Tour, and I am just as excited today to announce that I am returning to the PGA Tour," Koepka said in a statement posted to X on Monday. "Being closer to home and spending more time with my family makes this opportunity especially meaningful to me. I believe in where the PGA Tour is headed with new leadership, new investors, and an equity program that gives players a meaningful ownership stake."

The Returning Member Program allows LIV golfers who have been away from the PGA Tour for at least two years -- and who won the Players Championship or one of the four majors (the Masters, PGA Championship, U.S. Open and Open Championship) since 2022 -- to return to the PGA Tour under certain conditions and with severe financial penalties.

The other LIV Golf competitors who are eligible to return under the program are 2024 U.S. Open winner Bryson DeChambeau, 2023 Masters champion Jon Rahm and 2022 Players Championship and Open Championship winner Cameron Smith.

The memo to PGA Tour members from PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp said the window for LIV golfers to apply for reinstatement under the program opened Monday and closes Feb. 2. Golfers who seek to rejoin the PGA Tour must commit to play in at least 15 co-sponsored or approved events during the 2026 season.

Nick Taylor T1 in Hawaii.

Sudarshan playing well in his first start as a full member T14.

The field is not the best, I'd assume no Kapalua has hurt, but the field has generally been poor. If they lose Sony as a sponsor, I can see them not playing in Hawaii.

I guess I'm not a typical golf fan, but I have 12 of my saved favorites in this tournament and thought it was a fun field. Lots of interesting up and comers and potential future stars like Keefer, Shipley, Ford, Clanton, etc. On the other end of the spectrum, Vijay made the cut.

18 year old Blades Brown in the final group at the AMEX.

Not a good week for the Canadians.

Scheffler's under par streak is over.

He was not a happy camper today.

He finally hits a fairway on hole 10, by mere inches.

The rough is chewy.

It's been really warm in Phoenix, nice to see this place playing firm and fast.

Thorbjornsen goes bogey-bogey at 16 & 17.

Looking like only one man winning now.
