They probably don't do that in Germany. The running red part.

They definitely don't. You can do it as a cyclist or pedestrian, but you have to be prepared for the scolding after. Really, you can do anything you want there. It's just the scolding and a look of disappointment so pointed, you feel like you have let down all of humanity that comes with it.

You need way more oomph to clear snow than blow leaves.
And that powerful battery one is handheld versus backpack. It'd be physically exhausting to use all day even if you could afford to buy 40 batteries to keep it running for a full snow-clearing shift.
Look at us always arguing. We're like an old married couple.

Sorry. Obligatory, if anyone knows a thing or two about blowing, it's our Sliver!!
I will see myself out now.

This really is my kind of place. I've been looking at it through tourist eyes and I should have been scouting it as a place to reside.

The Germans are not going to be waiting in the intersection to make that left turn.

what really grinds my gears is people who park right in front of the doors of a store.
you typically see this at a grocery store or wal-mart.
I hate those ####ers and they seem to think it's ok if they have their hazards on, or are sitting in the car waiting for the person who went into the store.
hope they all get a pus filled painful discharge.

I used to live near a Safeway where many shoppers took a taxi to get there. Often a line of cabs in front.

Hazards tell you "I know I'm breaking the rules but I'm an ####### and am choosing to do it anyway"
Someone without the hazards on could just be clueless.

Pedestrians who run into the intersection after the countdown has already started, too. Particularly when people are waiting to turn. That's vehicular traffic's right-of-way to make left and right turns, you dipѕhits. You had your chance, stay on the fecking curb.

While watching a TV show on their phone. Walking is a right, driving is a privilege.

To be fair, at least here in Toronto, there are crosswalks that start flashing almost as soon as they allow you to walk - like within seconds, and then they give you an absurdly long countdown, like 25-30 seconds. So if you only crossed when it was cross signal you'd have to have perfect timing.

Yeah but Toronto also has some really wide streets. Its basically going to take that 25-30 seconds to cross, its essentially that you have to have been waiting there already for the light otherwise you've gotta wait for the next one.
And people without cars cant possibly be in that much of a hurry.

I know it is the law, but it is a bit silly. If you can cross the street before it turns red, you should be able to. If vehicles back up and can't get through creating traffic problems, it should have a dedicated turn phase. Pedestrians get the raw deal most of the time, having to wait for beg buttons, or if you miss the window pressing it having to wait an entire light cycle.

I don't understand why people back into a stall at costco.
Assuming they are a normal shopper with 40 items and a cart full, how do you access the trunk easily?

As a pedestrian and driver in this city, I've come to expect people cutting it too close and crossing on red at any intersection, at any time. Those people generally don't give a #### if there's a vehicle in a turning lane.
Maybe it's me but is anyone else noticing a growing trend of drivers with poor lane discipline that straddle the center line in two lane roads such as John Laurie BLVD? These are typical strugglers that are going the speed limit at best and make it so you have to kind of move close to the curb when passing them because you can't trust that they will further veer into your lane? It's becoming nearly a daily occurrence for me.

Yup, and when you pass them, they are almost always distracted on their phone or something.

This is probably all you had to say.
I’ve given up trying to understand how or why people act the way they act at Costco and just accepted that it exists on it’s own different, unique cultural plane.

I go there for their .18 cents off gas, at the Tsuu Tina one, their $7.50 roast chicken and the Charmain toilet paper. and my wife likes their poutine. I guess that's why i'm paying $130/year for!
