I've been the free speech guy forever but I have to wonder if people shouldn't be taking a lot more care with what they post on social media, including here. I know it's largely anonymous but it's not impossible that you could be identitied and if you're viewed as carrying water for this regime, when it all ends... I dunno.
I was thinking about this on Facebook, lots of people posting vile stuff about the two people killed and it's like... some of you are bots, no doubt, but for the real ones, that's your name and photo. One click and it's easy to see whrre you live, where you work, your kids' names and photos, what sports they play... people should be way more scared to be this brazen right now because who knows who ends up getting caught in the reckoning.

That said, are we really becoming a society where the feelings and sensibilities of fascists are something we have to handle with kid gloves? IMO it really diminishes the value of a community like this when you censor someone telling a Nazi sympathizer to eat s### or shove a pineapple up their ass.

I don’t think modern day fascists and their supporters are big on history lessons, but they should really read about what happened to their ilk after the war.
It wasn’t just the leaders put on trial, imprisoned, executed (or worse, in the case of people like Mussolini).
Tens of thousands killed on the street, hundreds of thousands imprisoned or put in camps.
If you’re not brave enough to stand up to fascists, don’t. But if you’re supporting them or standing against the people standing up to them? Best of luck in the “what happens after” portion of events, because nobody is going to stand up for you.

Can we please just ignore this moron. None of us are going to change his feable hate filled mind. He saw a video of a man protecting a women from a thug getting gunned down like it was the post credit scene in Lassi and he decided to blame the victim because it fit with his narrative. Is anyone anticipating changing his mind? That is the average Trump voter sadly enough, a hypocrite and a coward, who stands for nothing except what they are told.

I respect you, so please don’t take this as anything but respectful, but I honestly don’t think that responding to the negative reaction over the censoring of people telling fascists to eat “it” with a threat to shut down the entire discussion is the correct response, or one that is appropriate in this instance.
I think swearing is much less an issue than supporting fascism, if only one thing is going get addressed by the moderators.

To get this back on topic, Vance is still saying that that VA nurse who was murdered was an assassin who tried to murder federal agents. He also pointed out that some of his Gestapo cannot eat dinner peacefully in Minneapolis. That is the totality of his contribution on the murder from yesterday today.
