The events happening in the states are insane and news worthy. What I find boring is meeting someone and hearing their opinion on it. It’s the same reason I deleted Facebook, because I really don’t care what a former high school classmates opinion is on anything science or politics. My friends and a handful of news sources? Of course I value those opinions.

Mother####er was out there again!
We are not doing this a third time. So at 6:15, with all the courage and rage I had gathered from the previous morning's dream, I tried flashing a light at him through the window. No response. Try again. Nope, nothing. OK, jacket, sweats, and slippers, I guess I'm going outside.
#### me, it's -20, better make this quick. So I march on over, and say "you can't be doing this so early. You are waking everyone up. It's too loud."
He responds in broken English "24 hours after snow is OK, no?"
Sigh. OK, he's just hired and thinks he's following the bylaw. I explain again three or for more times, and after a couple "so sorry's" I think he got it. We'll see. Might have to talk to the neighbour about their new hire.

How loud can that blower be? Like assuming you have your windows closed, I don’t even think I’d hear it.

So loud. Now, I do need new windows. I'm not going to pretend I have super sound proof ones. But this thing does not sound like it's well tuned up, and is going from full to idle constantly, it's annoying as hell. 6:15 on Sunday? #### no. We even have bylaws to prevent this, because, you know, it's a thing.
If you are trying to suggest this isn't a valid gear grinder, I'd like to have your address.

Meh, I can’t sleep in, so come on by. If you wouldn’t mind making sure to clear the snow from the sidewalk cracks as you go, that would be appreciated also!
But in all seriousness, I’m not really saying it’s not valid. I think that my neighbour has a gas powered blower and I don’t really notice it at all. If this was a lawnmower in the middle of the summer though (with open windows), I could see that being annoying for sure.

Wait, so if it's within 48 hours of a snowfall they can do it any time they want?

Triple glazed windows are no match for a gas-powered snowblower.
Mind you, I sometimes wonder if this house was insulated with a drugstore-sized bag of cotton balls..

Can't really make it illegal to use a snowblower to dig out your car after a heavy snowfall if someone has to go to work at 6am. Still a dick move to bust out a leaf blower before sunrise on a weekend for a light dusting of snow, but the bylaws would have to get a lot more explicit to ban that

If only man had invented a manual device for snow removal that would be quieter. Just spit balling here but maybe a stick with a blade or some kind of scoop on it. Something you could sort of shove the snow with.
