The ability to regroup after letting those match points slip away in set 2 is really impressive for someone so young.

We're going to have a rematch of the Learner Tien vs. Daniel Medvedev match from a year ago. That was a dandy.

Sabalenka won in 2 tough tiebreak sets today so she was pushed.

Good on Vicky. I'll be cheering her against Aryna, but then I'd probably cheer for Ghislaine over Aryna. Hopefully the two breakers took some petrol out of her tank.

By the way, Leylah and Nick came back from 7-3 and 9-6 down in the match tie-break to advance winning that decisive tie-break 12-10.
Gaby and Luisa also advanced in women's doubles. Good day yesterday for Canada at the Aussie Open.

At times that guy looks like he's going to keel over and then he ends up winning the match. It's cooking down under with matches on outdoor courts suspended until it cools down.

Yeah about 30C here in Sydney, much warmer down south.
Sinner got some luck with the roof being closed pretty much as he was cramping the worst. Played well after it resumed.

Stan the Man goes down. One of my favorite players ever, it's really too bad after his US Open title he got injured and never returned to his best

Likely worthy of being a night match in Melbourne and due to a family commitment, I won't be able to watch it live. That said, it's prime time for Canadian tennis fans so yay for us.
Let's go Vicky!!
