I got a feeling that Coleman plays only one more game for CGY before he is traded. With the sheer amount of interest league wide in wingers he's bound to fetch their asking price. I think teams want things done early as opposed to what the media folk are saying.

I know of a team with lots of cap space available. Maybe this will be the year we weaponize it.

Marc Andre-Fleury is the clearest example, but outside of that there isn't as much history of Vegas just being ruthless or screwing over players in the better interest of the team as many seem to say.
He figures they were cold, and that’s what we’re talking about.

Vegas is ruthless. Other than a few players complaints in the beginning, no player has said they miss Vegas.

Has there been any updates from Sec or Royle on news? I am so curious to hear what is being talked about given the lacklustre game last night.

Panthers gotta make a splash trade-wise soon or they aren't even making the playoffs. Leafs are panicking and they're three points ahead of them.

I wonder what an astronomical ask is from Seattle for Shane Wright.

Coleman fits as a top six winger.
Add Henry Mews as a legit prospect.
Add Vegas 2027 1st.

Enough? That's approximate value of 2 firsts and high 2nd?

Yeah, I'm not giving up Henry Mews for Shane Wright. Shane Wright is a Mikael Backlund level center. Mews has top pair ability and is just scratching his potential. I wouldn't trade anything beyond Coleman for Wright. I don't see the allure of Shane Wright. Hasn't even come remotely to the hype around his draft. He's a reclamation project IMO. Emphasis on project.

Feels a little biased.

When all is said and done, my *personal* opinion of course, Wright likely pans out as a middle 6 center and Mews probably a middle pairing guy, but maybe I am wrong about him.

I don't really want to ask for Wright if the price is astronomical. Would rather just draft one.

I expect Coleman to be moved closer to the 26-27 trade deadline. And Kadri not until the offseason before 27-28. This is based on nothing other than my gut. Should be interesting to see how it all plays out.

I guarantee that would be the start of the conversation.

Wright, 22yr old RHC drafted in 2022.

It’s the more desirable position, handedness and age
Maybe they don’t get that but it’s the start and I’m betting it doesn’t end with Coleman and our cast offs

Wright is nowhere close to worth that type of package. He's now 22 with no signs of an elite offensive ceiling, nor has he shown any ability to drive play in a significant manner.

No team is trading for Wright thinking they're acquiring a future superstar like some projected him to be leading up to his draft/draft year.

They aren’t settling for a 33 year old winger and a pick. If he is truly available, I’ll be genuinely surprised if they bring in more of what they have a surplus of already. Middle 6 forwards over or around 30 years old
