That develops bad habits for young players though. It's a dog's breakfast right now, it is what it is. Just grab prospects and build to the future. In the meantime it really is a great sleeping aid.

They've actually tried to pass to guys in behind the D and they haven't made the passes.

You are the one out in a limb here. Go look at the comments. Look at what Hrudey said. No one agrees with you.

lol, they can't score. Now we're blaming the coach for not pulling the goalie down 4-1?

We're really grasping at straws here.

It's a bad team with almost zero offensive skill. No need to overthink it.

So just give up down 4-1? Don't even try? Great message.

Who said not to try? Down 2 goals......absolutely. 3?.........nope.

There's no need to get upset at Huska (again) for something like that.

Yeah, because Hrudey doesn't have bad takes all the time, and generally never criticizes players.

I could care less about your accounting if what people said. That was crap. He totally abandoned the puck carrier and let him skate right to the net.

You asked what Huska could do to make the game more interesting, .so I told you trying to win or at least score a goal would be nice .

And consistency is hard to find when upper management is actively trying to get worse. Take a team starved for offence, remove their best offensive defenceman, and things get ugly.

They were trying, the effort was there. They did score a goal.

You gave him heck for not pulling the goalie down 4-1. Just seems like a excuse to get mad at him again over something very inconsequential.

There's going to be a lot of games like this one over the next few years, no sense getting angry over something like that.

Gave him heck? You asked what he could do to make the game more exciting and I said pull the goalie and actually try to win. I said nothing about it until you asked.

You were not giving some constructive advice.

You railed on him (yet again) over something silly. I get that's your schtick.

I more meant consistency of leadership from the coaching staff, it's something you would never do in a different industry. You have a team you know is not good enough, so why are you blaming the coach and firing him, sending the message to the team that if they don't get better you'll just get a new coach. When the message needs to be it's on the young players and only the young players to make this team better over the next 2-5 years, you achieve that by having a coach with the unquestioned mandate to provide difficult feedback.

But you also nailed my point, this team isn't built to win so why blame a coach who really has proven himself for them not winning. Lets take some time and build the team before we look at the coach.
