Too bad on Battaglia season.
Maybe he has an injury? Preseason started so well for him.

Hopefully Basha keeps up the pace as close to 2 pts/game as possible. Need the kid to get his mojo back.

If not for the injuries, I really believe he would be one of the jewels of our prospect pool. Hell, he might even be playing with the big club.

I bet he does. A RH C with great size might do better in a pro environment, and he has had decent year-over-year progression. If I remember correctly he's looked pretty good at the prospect camps/scored during the scrimmages? And he was the kid Jarome vouched for at the draft which probably helps a bit.

My bet is Laing does a Lipinski and goes to the NCAA for at least a year.

I bet that Laing is signed - whether it is soon, or if he ends up going to the NCAA first. Sometimes these tall players just take some more time to develop. Watching some of his highlights, there seems to be a pretty decent brain there and he often flashes a lot of skill while carrying the puck. I think he is definitely investing a contract into, but I totally agree that it makes very good sense for him to go to the NCAA for a season first.

Hadn’t realized he was injured, was super disappointed with his start i was expecting some really good things from him.
Seems like switching to center has been a boost for him.
